My hopes for the future of videogames

The recent Greenlight debate got me thinking about something I had in my mind for a good while: there needs to be a way for funding videogames that are not profitable, not marketable or commercially viable. Games that are important yet won´t generate any benefits.

New website and new blog

Finally I did a complete redesign of the webside and I added this blog that I´m determined to update in a regular basis. The website is much more practical and accesible now. The most important novelty is the download section where you can now grab some of my books.

This blog, apart from being a place for news and work in progress will also gather some of my ideas and opinions in terms of illustration, animation and videogames. I will also be writing in greater detail about the creative processes, intentions and outcomes of some of my projects.

New book: A Coded Message

A Buen Paso just published what I consider to be my best book to date: A Coded Message.

It is the first picture book entirely made in ASCII. A book about alphabets, coded messages, spies and love. I will be writing a detailed analysis of the book in the future. Meanwhile, why don´t go take a look at it?

Cold War Hangover on L´Oujevipo

Once again Pierre Corbinais has made a detailed and generous review of one of my games: Cold War Hangover. Even if I sincerily appreciate his enthusiasm I can´t help but feeling that Pierre overestimates the game, more so after it´s catastrophic failure face to the contest it was made for. Maybe, at the end it is better that it says under its PC form, which seems a little bit more playable.
